Boat trip with
MS LANGØYSUND to
Nordenskiöldbreen and
Pyramiden
On this
boat trip you will get to visit the closed Russian mining town Pyramiden.
The town was abandoned in the summer of 1998, however
the buildings and infrastructure are still intact. We head east towards Billefjorden
and take in the view of Tempelfjellet, reminiscent of a cathedral.
It is difficult not to be impressed by the special layered mountain
formations along Billefjorden. Ahead of the Nordenskiöld glacier we can
see Brucebyen what are remnants of a Scottish mining fairytale?
Dress in warm, windproof clothing, and remember to bring hat,
gloves/mittens and scarf.
Also remember to bring your camera, binoculars (and
seasickness tablet).
Duration: Appr. 9-10 hours
