Traveling to Naples/Capri

How to reach Naples

By plane:

Naples International Airport, Capodichino, situated at 10 km from the centre of Naples: From the airport you can reach the city centre either by taxi (duration of journey: approximately 10 min.) or by bus (Alibus from the airport).

Alibus: Cost of the ticket: 3 euros. Tickets can be purchased on board. Departures: every 30 minutes from 6.30 till 23.30. The Alibus also stops at Molo Beverello, the quay from where the hydrofoils/ferry-boats to Capri leave.

Taxis can be found at the exits of both terminals: check that the taxi license and relative number are displayed in order to avoid a pirate taxi. The price of the journey is determined by the taximeter.

Rome International Airport, Fiumicino, 250 km from the centre of Naples: From the airport you can reach Roma Termini by train.

Rome–Ciampino Airport: coaches run every half-hour to Roma Termini, approx. 40 minutes journey, e.g. Terravision.

By train:

How to reach Capri

We have organized a shuttle service from the University Conference Centre to the quay (Molo Beverello) and from Capri Marina Grande to the participants hotels in Anacapri. The cost is 14 euros per person, plus the hydrofoil ticket, that you will find at the Conference registration desk (16 euros). We strongly recommend to make use of this service. Friday evening is usually very crowded and one runs the risk of not finding a ticket to go to Capri. In addition, there will be long queues for buses in Capri (the last weekend of May comes before a bank holiday (2 June)) and the cost will be approximately the same.
