The Collins Collection

In 1998, Professor Robert O.Collins, the foremost specialist on the history of the Southern Sudan, donated a large part of his private library to the Centre for Middle Eastern and Islamic Studies at Bergen University. Here it forms the core of our Sudan and Africa holdings. The listing of the gift presented below is in recognition of the great and generous gift of Professor Collins, and can guide the visitor of the Centre library to the usage of these books.
