som vil bli behørig omtalt i rett tid. Men vi kan allerede nå gratulere Heidi

seminarium för brukare av gammaspektrometri.
Vi samlas 16-17
september på Kjeller (IFE) för att diskutera och dela information om vårt bruk
av gammaspektrometri. Fokus kommer att ligga på den praktiska kunskapen
som deltagarna besitter och de gemensamma problemen och utmaningar som finns.
Målet med seminariet är att skapa ett forum för vidare diskution och samarbete
om gammaspektrometri. Seminariet sponsras av NKS (Nordisk
kjernesikkerhetsforskning, www.nks.org).

kopiere denne informasjonen, feks dersom det er en stor og gjennomarbeidet FAQ

fillageret ligger ofte forelesningsnotater og de færreste er interessert i at
hele forelesningsrekken, eller en emneevaluering publiseres før oppstart. Husk

Abstract:
We investigate optimal control strategies for state to state transitions in a
model of a quantum dot molecule containing two active strongly interacting
electrons. The Schrodinger equation is solved nonperturbatively in conjunction
with several quantum control strategies. This results in optimized electric
pulses in the terahertz regime which can populate combinations of states with
very short transition times. The speed-up compared to intuitively constructed
pulses is an order of magnitude. We furthermore make use of optimized pulse
control in the simulation of an experimental preparation of the molecular
quantum dot system. It is shown that exclusive population of certain excited
states leads to a complete suppression of spin dephasing, as was indicated in
Nepstad et al (2008 Phys. Rev.

Abstract:
In this paper we present the application of a new optical sensor for monitoring
colloidal phase transitions in magnetic fields. The sensor utilizes the fact
that the absorption of light depends strongly on the colloidal structure, and
we demonstrate how it can be used to monitor magnetically induced phase
transitions in colloidal solutions. Both static and dynamic response curves are
recorded, thus providing useful information about the structural rearrangement.
We find that the optical transmittance versus the magnetic field is path
dependent for larger particles, and therefore depends on the history of the
colloidal system. Furthermore, it is revealed that the colloidal assemblies
exhibit memory-dependent kinetics, where the response times may differ by more
than a factor of 5. We apply the sensor to study the kinetics of colloidal structural
arrangement in a polymer solution, and find that the optical transmittance
modulation decays with time, thus suggesting an increase in the number of
immobile aggregates forced by the applied magnetic field.

Abstract:
On 07 Sep 2001 around 21: 40 UT, Cluster was located 19 R-E downtail, and
observed earthward fast flows and strong perturbations in the dawn-dusk
component of the magnetic field (B-Y). The perturbations corresponded to a
sheet of tailward field aligned current close to the neutral sheet and another
sheet of earthward field aligned current closer to the lobe. At Cluster
footpoint, the ionospheric equivalent current density was monitored by the
IMAGE magnetometer network. The observed equivalent current pattern is found to
be consistent with a longitudinally extended current out of the ionosphere at
67 degrees magnetic latitude and another sheet into the ionosphere 10 km
further north. These observations provide evidence that the Hall current system
generated in the ion diffusion region of a tail reconnection X-line, can close

Abstract:
Using a sample of 383x10(6) BB events collected by the BABAR experiment, we
measure sums of seven exclusive final states B -> X-d(s)gamma, where
X-d(X-s) is a nonstrange (strange) charmless hadronic system in the mass range
0.6-1.8 GeV/c(2). After correcting for unmeasured decay modes in this mass
range, we obtain a branching fraction for b -> d gamma of (7.2 +/-
2.7(stat)+/- 2.3(syst))x10(-6). Taking the ratio of X-d to X-s we find Gamma(b
-> d gamma)/Gamma(b -> s gamma)=0.033 +/- 0.013(stat)+/- 0.009(syst),
from which we determine |V-td/V-ts|=0.177 +/- 0.043.
