Faculty board elections
– Propose new members
During the spring
semester new members and deputies of the faculty board will be elected. The deadline to propose candidates is on
Monday, May 6 at 15:00. Please see the announcement from the faculty’s
election board for details. As a member of
the faculty board one can among others influence decisions regarding
strategic plans, distribution of budget and hiring processes. In this way,
one will have a good overview of the faculty’s activities, organization,
framework and challenges, in addition to influencing important decision for
the faculty. IFT open seminar

open seminar where Martino Marisaldi INAF - IASF, National Institute for
Astrophysics, Bologna, Italy, will be giving a

Olav Gjelsvik, UiO, will be giving a Upop lecture: Tuesday, April 16, at 18:00, Teglverket, Det Akademiske Kvarter We look at ourselves as rational, however, most
of us experience that we postpone important tasks without having a good
reason for doing so. Postponing important tasks, or procrastination, mean
that one gives the priority to short-term satisfaction in place of demanding
and meaningful activities. Especially for students, with long deadlines and
huge reading lists, this phenomenon is well-known. Bachelor
