See the silver lining in
Horizon2020 - how to secure your pot of gold from EU funding Friday November 22 at 14:15, Auditorium B. Coffee, tea and cakes from 14:00. Horizon
2020 is the 8th framework program for Research and Technological
development and will start in 2014. It will have a budget of 77 billion € and
offers a broad variety of funding opportunities for research and also
education of the next generation of scientists. The seminar will give a
comprehensive overview of funding possibilities for researchers in different
career stages and how to follow the process to help you to obtain your share
from the pot of gold. Information about Horizon2020 and
application writing course for ERC Starting and Consolidator grants
The Research
Administration Department invites to an proposal
writing course for ERC Starting and Consolidator Grants. These are intended
for researchers who defended their PhD theses in the last 2-12 years and wish
to start their own research groups.
The Norwegian Research
Council informs about EU's new framework program Horizon 2020 on Wednesday,
November 27 at Studentsenteret. The Norwegian
Research Council's national experts will be there the entire day and there
will be opportunity to have individual meetings. Registration and program can
be found here. Please contact senior advisor Sumathi Subramaniam Håvik at the Research Administration Department for individual meetings. Welcome

conference on equality
and cultural diversity at UiB
UiB will arrange the
following day conference · Equality and cultural diversity at UiB. December 6, 2013, 08:45

Sundts gate 9. Registration
until November 25. The conference will follow up Chapter 4 of the Action plan for equality. In the action
plan, the main aim is to make UiB an open and including university for all
students and employees regardless of ethnicity, religion, views and political
views. The plan sketches a number of measures which will be carried out in
