From the head of
department
On Monday, April 7, the Faculty Board decided to
offer Øyvind Frette the Head of Department position at the Department of
Physics and Technology. Øyvind is well-known by most employees and students
at the department. På Høyden has
interviewed him on the matter. The starting date and the presentation of the
keys is not yet decided. We would like to wish everyone a Happy Easter and

Workshop in Ice Modeling
We are
pleased to announce that registration is now open for the 2014
Ice Sheet System Model (ISSM) Workshop. The registration page, and

invites to a meeting in Bergen with Prof. Anders Goksøyr,
University of Bergen, Prof. Alfred Halstensen,
University of Bergen, Researcher Oddrun Gudbrandsen, the Clinical Department, University of
Bergen and Research Director and Prof. II Livar Frøyland, The National Institute of Nutrition and Seafood
Research, University of Bergen.
On Tuesday, April 22 at 16:30 at Nansensenteret, Marineholmen, Thormøhlens gate 47. After the meeting a simple dinner
will be served consisting of seafood and social gathering. The price is 100,- NOK per person. Registration until
15.00 on Friday, April11. Registration is required only for those of you who
