A Word from the Department
Head
This week has once
more been marked by exams taking place at our department. Many have put in a
lot of effort into this. Otherwise,
I would like to wish Bjørn and Rolf good luck with the next week. Together
with their colleagues from GexCon, they are
arranging a conference here in Bergen (Hazards, Prevention, and Mitigation of
Industrial Explosions) for 200 international researchers. Let it be a great
success. Have
a great Pentecost weekend, Øyvind News and general information
Missing Has anyone seen the instrument from the pictures
above? The department head will be in a very good mood if someone could give
us some tips. Numbers The Centre for Scientific Theory invites to a mini-symposium
on «numbers» from June 11-12. All are welcome, and registration is not
required.
NorRen Summer Schoool
In cooperation with CoSSMic,
NorRen has the joy of inciting all PhD students
working with renewable energy and are connected to one of the Norwegian
universities, to NorRen interdisciplinary summer
school. It will, be taking place from August 11-15 at Holmen Fjordhotell in Asker. As mentioned earlier, the school is
primarily aimed at PhD students, but is also open to young researchers within
the field of renewable energy. More information is available from this link. Staff
