Research networks

The programme offers great possibilities to profit from an education closely related to international research networks and "Centres of Excellence". Already during their studies, students can participate in research, e.g. in a "Student defined project".

The exchange programme "POME" (Prediction and Observation of the Marine Environment) with Dalhousie University in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada offers possibilities of a jointly supervised master's thesis.

Summing up, the numerous "Centres of Excellence" at the University in Bergen and the partner universities offer good career opportunities for students.

Here is a list of all important exchange programmes and "Centres of Excellence" related to the programme:

Prediction and Observation of the Marine Environment (POME)
Nordic Centre for Research on Marine Ecosystems and Resources under Climate Change (NorMER)
Bjerknes Centre for Climate Research
Centre for Climate Dynamics at the Bjerknes Centre for Climate Research
Centre of Excellence for Geobiology
Sea Lice Research Centre

Generally, students of MARECLIM can profit from the whole exchange network at UiB.
