The Norwegian-Spanish Salted Fish Academy 2010

The Norwegian-Spanish Salted Fish Academy is a pilot project held for the first time in 2010. By transferring results, competence and knowledge from the Salted fish Project to students, teachers within seafood and actors from the seafood industry, the Salted fish academy has as a goal to achieve a increased level of competence restructuring and innovation amongst the different actors in all the parts of the value chain of salted fish - from catch to consume. Further, the salted fish academy aims to contribute to a improvement of the seafood education as well as an improvement of the product quality.

The academy is provided as a subject on the university college of Finnmark, with the possibility to make adaptations for adult education.
