A Word from Department Head
Last
week was largely influenced by the CERN evaluation meeting. Many have
contributed with great work, and we hope this will contribute to further
development of activities at CERN. This
week there is an open meeting on new strategy at UoB.
I assume there are many of you who would like to participate in this meeting.
More information about this meeting can be obtained here.
Note that there is a registration deadline on Tuesday. Not
many supervisors signed up for Friday’s ceremony for those who completed
their master studies. This is a really nice event, and it would be nice if
the current supervisors could re-evaluate their decisions. We will keep the
registrations open until tomorrow until 13:00. Send your registration
directly to anders.kulseng@ift.uib.no. Otherwise,
I hope you all had an active and nice weekend in the sun! Øyvind News and general
information
Reading lists
We would like to remind you of the deadline for delivering the
reading lists for the fall courses, which was on June 1. You can read the
mail from Studia here, and here you can find the order
forms. Keep in mind that the subjects and courses which do not deliver their
reading lists on time will be listed on student’s own reading list
overview. To this day, mat.nat. has delivered only 44 %, but physics and process and petroleum
technology are sticking out even more
with just 17 and 0 % respectively (!). Here you can read on how to upload the reading lists via Min Side. In
case you have any problems uploading, feel free to ask for help from Irlin,
Terje or Anders from the administration.
