SPRING TERM 2008
Give a presentation of the substantial criteria for exemption under EC Treaty Article 81(3).
Attachment: Commission Notice – Guidelines on the applicability of Article 81 of the EC Treaty to horizontal cooperation agreements (OJ 2001/C 3/02).
Give an opinion on selected competition law challenges that according to your considerations are of special importance for associations of undertakings, and the most important key factors in the legal assessment of those challenges which you chose to focus upon.
Both question 1 and 2 should be answered. The answer of Question 1 should represent approximately ¾ of the total answer, and Question 2 to represent approximately ¼
FALL TERM 2007
Give a presentation of the prohibition on abuse of dominant position, cf. EC Treaty Article 82, with main focus on different conducts which can be an abuse.
SPRING TERM 2007
Give a presentation and evaluation of the de minimis doctrine in Competition Law.

FALL TERM 2006
Present an overview of the competition law regulation of different types of vertical agreements.
Attachment:
Commission Regulation (EC) No 2790/1999 of 22 December 1999 on the application of Article 81 (3) of the Treaty to categories of vertical agreements and concerted practices.
SPRING TERM 2006
Discuss the concept of an “agreement” and the concept of ‘concerted practices’ in the EC Treaty Article 81(1).
Discuss how an anticompetitive conduct ‘may affect trade between Member States’ according to EC Treaty Article 81 and 82.
Both questions must be answered.
FALL TERM 2005
On the prohibition of agreements, decisions by associations of undertakings and concerted practices that are restrictive to competition, with a special focus on the effect on trade between member states, and the doctrine of appreciable effect both on interstate trade and on competition.
SPRING TERM 2005
Give a presentation of the surveillance, sanctions and other legal effects of violating the prohibition of agreements that are restrictive of competition. Compare the legal effects on EU level, EEA level and in Norwegian law.
